Poultry meat production

Conventional meat production

Consequences for the animals reared under conventional circumstances:

  • interference with the health status, for example breast blisters (laying in wet litter)
  • inflammation of the joints and leg deformations
  • premature death due to ascites or sudden cardiac death
  • Many species-specific behaviour patterns such as scratching, running, fluttering and dust bathing can not be carried out because of physical disability and a high stocking rate.
