Livestock management

A successful owner of laying hens knows how to manage his flock and:

  •     writes down the daily feed and drinking water consumption
  •     keeps records about the animals in the barn
  •     distinguishes according to the laying perfomance
  •     keeps records about the loss of animals and possible causes
  •     weighs some animals of the flock regularly (approx. 30-40 animals), younger animals weekly
  •     observes his/her animals and recognises behavioural disorders and tries to find the cause in order to eliminate it
  •     uses scoring methods for the evaluation of the plumage condition
  •     preheats the barns before bringing in new animals.
