The daily routine of chicken


The chicken day starts with the cock crow. After the morning grooming, the flock forages for food and water. Egg deposition is usually finished about noon. During midday sun the birds enjoy sun- and dust bathing. Afterwards the birds forage for food again. This is often accompanied by reproductive behaviour. At dusk the cock brings his hens together in the barn for sleep.
