General requirements

Resting and retreat areas

Rabbits are less fearful, if they can seek shelter in case of disturbances. They also like to retreat to shelter-like areas for resting.
Areas for retreat also facilitate the avoidance of conspecifics in case of agonistic encounters.

The space under raised platforms can serve as resting and retreat area. Retreat areas must be properly dimensioned and available for all rabbits at the same time, in case they flee and seek shelter.
