Poor barn climate

• With their very sensitive mucous membranes, rabbits react strongly to a high ammonia content in the air. Apart from noxious gases, also high levels of dust can promote the development of respiratory diseases.

• Rabbits tolerate lower temperatures better than heat. Starting at about 25°C, the temperature regulation can become challenging for the animals.
