Organic meat production

In the organic broiler fattening, the birds must have access to a grown over free-range area (at least 4 m2/animal). Acceptable stocking density in the barn: maximum 10 animals/m2 (maximum liveweight 21 kg/ m2) whereupon a maximum of 4.800 animals per barn are allowed.

Elevated perches have to be installed in the barn. The fattening period lasts at least for 90 days. Especially for this reason it is recommended to use slow growing strains.
