Of importance to the animal health:

to reduce the risk of infection and to strengthen the immune system
for example by distributing fruit vinegar via drinking water
early therapy or selection of animals with disease
to vaccinate animals
provide occupation and alternation
minimize dust contamination and generation of gaseous ammonia (measurement at the animals level)
to avoid draft in barns
to offer free range areas and sun light to the animals.
