Unsuitable floors

• Floors with too narrow slats and too large gaps or holes for the respective age class can result in paw and leg injuries.

• Floors that are difficult to clean and that promote wetness can facilitate the development of pododermatitis (inflammatory alteration of the feet, also known as ‘sore hocks’).
