Outdoor access

Outdoor access can be offered permanently or temporarily, in roofed areas and as free-range housing. In commercial rabbit farming, outdoor access has been hardly tested so far.
Increased labour, a more demanding management (e.g., in terms of health and animal control) as well as the need of constructing special housing systems, which prevent the animals from breaking out and that protect them from predators, are aspects which complicate the implementation of such systems.
