Free-range

Due to the very demanding management (e.g., health management, protection from predators, animal control) and seasonal production, there exist no economically efficient and feasible free-range farming systems for meat rabbits yet.

Attempts have been made to use mobile housing systems, where the enclosure is moved over the pasture at certain intervals. Another option is permanent stables with alternating pastures.
